Job Description:

This position is located at Morgan Farm Kennel. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Ability to communicate orally and deal effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. 2. Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Suite or equivalent. 3. Ability to use point of sales software. 4. Basic arithmetic expertise to balance cash draw, accept payments and provide change accurately. 5. Ability to type 40 words per minute. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Prior experience using RecTrac. 2. At least 1 year of experience working in a professional animal care setting caring for both cats and dogs. The experience must be reflected on your resume at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection.
Provides full client services for Morgan Farm Kennel. Receives telephone calls and visitors. Determines the nature of call or visit, obtains identifying information, and verifies eligibility.
Schedules appointments, completes the client admission forms. Updates the existing medical record or collects sufficient information to prepare new record.
Screens records at check in to verify all routine procedures such as vaccinations, heartworm tests, etc. are up-to-date. Reviews discharge information or handouts with client. Prepares certificates
Receives payments for services rendered. Balances cash and checks daily; makes daily bank deposit. Monitors and replenishes inventory. Serves as reference point, providing expertise to developing employees in the front-office operations.
Maintains clinic exterior, reception area and rooms to ensure general cleanliness (to include cleaning urine, feces and blood), spot cleans as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned.
