About the Position: This position is located at Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Chicago Illinois. The primary purpose of this position is to provide transportation services for the recruits of the US Military. This will be filled on a permanent basis.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in Federal service which includes utilizing automated transportation systems and programs to perform daily operations such as arranging transportation; utilizing word processing, electronic spreadsheets, communication system programs; processing transportation documents and resolving routine and recurring discrepancies or problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-5). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Manages and Organizes Information Reading Comprehension Reasoning Self-Management Technical Competence Transportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Ensure proper accounting fund citations for each reimbursable account are noted on each invoice, thus allowing for proper payment.
Conduct comprehensive transportation briefing to all recruits regarding the use of meal tickets/checks, travel requirements/limitations, and follow-on transportation.
Arrange transportation for all recruits and enlistees from the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) to the designated Reception/Training Center.
Assist recruits experiencing unexpected delays, cancellation of flights, hospitalizations, absence, or refusal to fly.
Ensure proper accounting fund citations for each reimbursable account are noted on each invoice, thus allowing for proper payment.
Prepare, amend and revoke transportation orders for all recruits and enlistees assigned to all Military Services.
Provide awareness of up-to-date Transportation Security Agency (TSA) travel requirements to all recruits and enlistees.
