Job Description:

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This is a Permanent WG-8852-12 AIRCRAFT INSPECTOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0393000 and is part of the MO TASMG Shop. This is a bargaining position.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - CW2 (W-2) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which has provided you with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components; make adjustments and settings according to established specifications; and skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment. WG-12 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience that demonstrates your ability to conduct inspections and evaluations for the purpose of determining the depth and scope of the necessary repair, overhaul and/or modification required to return such aircraft or components to a serviceable condition; determine parts and labor costs and compare against repairable limits; proficient in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans, blueprints, and schematic diagrams; and the ability to evaluate damage, estimate maintenance, parts, and manpower requirements, diagnose malfunctions, and employ testing and inspection techniques.
Inspects aircraft and components.
Inspections include but are not limited to initial, in-process, visual, condition, and final inspections, maintenance operational checks, and accident damage inspections.
Reviews and checks aircraft forms and records for accuracy and completeness.
Determines maintenance requirements, inspection requirements, and compliance with technical standards.
Provides technical assistance and expertise on aircraft maintenance and quality control matters to AVCRAD maintenance and supported units.
Must be able to perform the duties of aircraft maintenance positions supporting assigned aircraft.
When designated on NGB Flying Status orders, may participate in aerial flights which are defined by applicable Army publications as Maintenance Test Flights.
Performs other duties as assigned.
