Basic Requirement: Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited law school, be an active member of the bar of a state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in good standing (any jurisdiction). Applicants must possess excellent academic and professional credentials, and outstanding professional references. Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: advising on federal acquisition and fiscal law; litigating or supporting contract disputes before federal courts and boards; or managing a strong federal client relationship. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Serves as liaison between the Agency and trial attorneys from the Dept of Justice, DoD or other federal agencies in contract litigation involving DCAA audits or matters of interest to DCAA.
Provides legal advice and guidance required to support the auditing mission of the agency.
Essential subjects include the legal implications of the Cost Accounting Standards, the Cost Principles of the Federal Acquisition Regulation the Contract Disputes Act, the False Claims Act, and the Truth in Negotiation Act.
Advises Agency programs on critical legal matters, including procurement, appropriations, information disclosure, real estate claims, and Federal ethics
Evaluates existing and proposed legislation having a direct or indirect impact upon the Agency's mission, program, policies, procedures, regulations, or operations
