Job Description:
You will serve as an ELECTRONICS ENGINEER in the SE & ALRE Group, Support Equipment Department, PEO (U&W/JSF) PSE Division, Test Program Set (TPS) Branch (Code BL24300) of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, coordinating and participating actively as the technical expert for complex engine support equipment projects; 2) Providing expertise in the design, development, and integration of software systems (e.g. compilers, run time systems, instrument interfaces/drivers, support tools) for Automatic Test Systems (ATS), especially related to the CASS Family of Testers (FoT) and related Engine Test Program Sets (TPSs) 3) Managing, prioritizing and accomplishing program tasks on time and within budget; 4) Generating/approving deviations from standard design and operating procedures and reviewing, evaluating and providing recommendations to all proposed modifications to the existing system for overall improvements, reliability and operational safety; 5) Developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes; and 6) Generating acquisition strategy planning for determination of future support equipment requirements. You will analyze complex aircraft electronic, electrical, and engine systems to determine if they can be tested and repaired using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
You will develop technical specifications, requirements (Statement of Work and Contract Data Requirements Lists), and planning documents for TPS acquisition
You will evaluate contractor proposals for technical feasibility, cost, and risk.
You will oversee the contractor's design and development process, participates in design reviews, resolves technical issues, and ensures the project meets its objectives.
You will participate in the formal acceptance testing of the final TPS hardware and software to verify that all contract requirements have been met.
