About the Position: This position is located within NBHC Portsmouth, Directorate of Clinical Support, Occupational Medicine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: perform various medical screenings for patients; and/or evaluate patients for referral to nurse and/or physician; and/or enter patient data into medical records; and/or perform administrative tasks for patients, such as answering patient phone calls, and/or scheduling patient appointments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One year of education at the graduate level in medical, health, or related fields. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 6. Then divide your semester hours of education by 30. Add the two percentages.
Provides patient screening to obtains and review medical and/or occupational history.
Evaluates patients for referral to nurse or physician.
Performs various screenings, such as vision, vital signs, spirometry, audiometry, and electrocardiograms (EKGs) and reviews results for completeness and accuracy.
Documents pertinent data in the medical record and on other documents, as appropriate for the examination being performed on both hard and electronic forms/copies.
Provides technical and assistance with implementing occupational health program management. Implements data systems and mechanisms in response to administrative needs.
Provides administrative support such as patient scheduling and coordination of pre-placement and routine physical exams.
