SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal counsel on commercial matters to corporate functions and diverse international businesses primarily supporting Kohler’s Kitchen & Bath business including Luxury Brands, Wellness, and Health. Lead legal interactions with indirect procurement, which supports professional services, marketing and communications, capital equipment, and facility maintenance groups.Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of domestic and international commercial agreements (including, but not limited to, supply and purchase agreements, service agreements, development agreements, sales and distribution agreements, and licensing agreements).Protect company interests and advise management with respect to risks associated with negotiated agreements.Work with Commercial Contracts team and key business contacts to align on commercial agreement language, risk allocation, and overall contracting strategy. Provide training, guidance, and educational resources to business teams designed to build a foundational understanding of the law as it relates to commercial transactions, improved issue spotting and escalation, and promote consistent contracting practices in line with legal guidance.
