THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2162000 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Military Grades: Enlisted GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
As a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST (GS-0080-09) you will be responsible for all base electronic security systems by performing electronic security systems duties and managing all functions necessary to sustain electronic security protection in all areas of the installation.
