This position is located at Fort Sill Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Patriot Club Recreation Center The initial cut-off date for this vacancy announcement is 04/07/2026. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have knowledge of wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities. Must have basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English). Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": One year experience supervising and scheduling personnel. One year experience scheduling events / activities in a large community center. One year experience monitoring fiscal requirements of a large community center and bar operation. Experience must be reflected on your resume! Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis.
Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs of a diverse patronage, including a variety of multi disciplinary events, i.e., social activities, tournaments and other major programs.
Must be able to support the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities.
Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility.
