About the Position: This position is located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes scheduling facility maintenance services, conducting inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, and using automated systems to maintain and update facility records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Evaluate medical facility programs to manage risk or waste.
Implement systematic process to identify and eliminate safety hazards within medical facility.
Maintain fire safety program consistent with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations standards to prevent fires.
Establish secure procedures and locations for hazardous waste handling protocol to comply with federal, state, and agency regulations.
Coordinate with personnel to accomplish facility work.
Liaison with contractors, Base Civil Engineer, and other interested parties regarding military construction projects for medical facility.
Oversee facility management resources such as personnel, service contracts, financial programs, space utilization, and information resources for medical facility.
Compile data and assists in the development of contracts for medical facility.
