To qualify for a Contract Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Basic Contracting Requirement: A.) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR B.) a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of "A" above. OR B. Contracting Officer Requirement: A current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of "A" above. AND C. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Able to develop, brief and train to a wide range of audiences from Keystones to Senior Leadership. Leads the deployment and accomplishment of functional and competency focused matrixed teams in the design, development, and coordination of training. Able to manage and track agency-wide programs.
Responsible for the training and daily administrative requirements for the 1100 series within DCMA.
Engages and collaborates with regional commands and senior management to ensure the contracting career program maintains a competent and well-qualified 1102, 1103, and 1106 civilian workforce capable of supporting DCMA's mission.
Organizes and conducts training conference for the 1100 series.
Ensures training requirements and needs are met for the functional specialist to perform assigned duties to support the Agency's mission.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates for currency, accuracy, and completeness of current and future training opportunities.
Independently leads the deployment and accomplishment of Knowledge Management program.
Provides recommendations for improvements in effectiveness of contracting competency development initiatives and places main emphasis on identifying best practices which can be adopted agency-wide and implemented through learning forums.
Provides the functional expertise to coordinating, and leading teams to develop the most effective learning methods, focusing on technical content in development and implementation of functional training needs with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the training needs of the Contracting Workforce in the Functional Group of the Operational Learning Center
