Job Description:
You will serve as a NUCLEAR DIRECTOR in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing nuclear or radiological production projects in support of the overhaul of ships or submarines. You will ensure the reactor plant projects and associated interface work performed by shop(s) is accomplished in a safe, economical and timely manner in accordance with governing directives, instructions, plans, cost and quality requirements.
You will coordinate and provide authoritative responses to audits, surveillances, incident and deficiency reports, Shipyard Commander's agenda items, and internal and external reviews.
You will provide evaluation and oversight of the nuclear training program to ensure improvements or changes to shop and trade processes are incorporated, and that lesson plans are adjusted to address deficiencies and associated corrective actions.
You will develop short and long-range plans to provide manning, facilities, material and equipment to support scheduled an unscheduled urgent nuclear and refueling or defueling work for the organizations covered.
You will represent the Shop Superintendent at meetings and nuclear critiques involving the shop(s) work and related shop work practices.
You will ensure that subordinate supervisors carry out policies in labor and employee relations.
