This position is located at Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation, Fires Fitness Center. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess directly related work experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports. Experience that includes the demonstrated ability to manage and operate complex multiple fitness facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Candidates who possess a combination of education (an undergraduate in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology) and work experience as identified above. Possession of a nationally identified Basic Fitness Trainer Certification. Experience must be reflected on your resume! Applicants meeting minimum qualification requirements and highly preferred criteria will be considered before candidates only meeting minimum qualifications of the position.
Serves as a Fitness Facility Manager directing and supervising diverse functions required to operate a fitness facility up to 89,447 SQ FT.
Establishes employee work schedules and performance objectives and appraisals.
Continually assesses facility requirements and develops plans and specifications for projects to augment or replace fitness and sports facilities.
Publicizes sports facilities, programs and events by writing articles for local newspapers and coordinates with marketing for posters, flyers and other promotional material.
Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
