This position is located at: Fort Campbell, KY. Privately Owned Firearms (POF) Range/ Range 16. This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans at this time. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have experience with firing range operations and firearm safety and possess work experience which involved dealing with the general public. May have cashier skills. Must be able to obtain current Installation Range Certification Card, National Rifle Association (NRA) Range Safety Officer Certification,or equivalent certification within 60 days of entrance on duty. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess experience with weapons handling, maintenance, and mechanics. Possess skeet rules, regulations, and scoring knowledge. Possess knowledge or experience with gun range operations. **Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. Executes range facility opening, closing, and operating procedures in accordance with installation, local, and federal laws.
Maintains communications and follows instructions of the installation range control agency to ensure safe operations. Coordinates medical support through the installation range control agency.
Instructs patrons on range safety practices, and provides general firearm and marksmanship information. Responsible for all safety issues in the operation of the range.
Ensures proper handling storage, accountability, inventory of ammunition, and vault security. Issues ammunition and range related accessories to customers, checks ID, and collects fees. Checks inventory and supplies, and requests restock.
Executes range facility opening, closing, and operating procedures. Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment. Monitor patrons for compliance with rules and safety and correct violations immediately.
May perform cashier duties and maintain records of sales. Conducts facility and range maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.
