You will serve as the Senior Scientific Technical Manager and Navy technical expert for Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology development and utilization across Air Systems, Air/Ship Integration, and Industrial communities for the Air Systems Group in the Technical Director Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQs): Your resume should demonstrate accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications: TQ#1: Recognized as a senior technical expert with demonstrated expertise in AM materials, structures, and manufacturing processes. Proven competence in managing complex, interdisciplinary programs and guiding technology insertion from research to application, with deep knowledge of DoW acquisition and airworthiness processes TQ#2: Ability to lead and oversee the efforts of a large, interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and logistics specialists. Experience inspiring teams and building consensus by maintaining senior-level relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders across government, industry, and academia to pursue high-interest technology concepts. You will serve as a nationally recognized authority responsible for shaping the future of Additive/Advanced Manufacturing (AM) technology for the NAVAIR/NAWCAD.
You will conceive, plan, and lead a full spectrum of research and development initiatives, from uncharted, independent research to the development of advanced manufacturing methodologies.
You will drive innovation in areas like 3D printing, composites, and novel materials to produce tangible AM solutions for industrial and U.S. Navy applications.
You will manage complex programs and interdisciplinary teams through the entire lifecycle, from Science and Technology and development to acquisition and in-service engineering, ensuring new capabilities are successfully transitioned.
You will provide authoritative technical consultation and expert advice to senior leadership within NAWCAD, NAVAIR, and externally to strategic partners like ONR, DARPA, PEOs, and other SYSCOMs.
