To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education: Masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the specific qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of qualifying experience are: Experience verifying the authenticity of bills submitted by contractors. Experience conducting analysis of bills, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues prior to authorizing payment. Experience utilizing spreadsheets and the fund control system . Experience in reviewing, analyzing, consolidating, and revising funding estimates, justifications statements, and recording and monitoring budget expenditures. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the major duties of this position as described above. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. This position is located in the Residential Reentry Management Branch (RRMB) of the Reentry Services Division (RSD), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Washington, D.C. Serves as the Financial Support Coordinator and is responsible for the development, planning, maintenance, execution and dissemination of budgeting data for the RRMB, as it relates to multiple appropriations, and a non-appropriated and business enterprise type revolving trust fund. Responsible for recording, evaluating, and monitoring the financial expenditures for the RRMB's multiple budgets for community placements and programming. Supports the RRMB in the performance of administrative work of a financial and budgetary nature. Monitors and evaluates trends and initiatives related to community programming and residential housing to identify funding needs and provide recommendations on the current funding levels and future budget needs. Analyzes trends and expenditures and prepares quarterly analytical budget reports identifying strengths and weaknesses for the RRMB. Researches and formulates budget information frequently required by the Central Office staff on detention and residential budgets.
