This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Gather medical and personal information relevant to program eligibility and beneficiary needs in order to coordinate appropriate care.
Upload the consult report to the correct beneficiary record and associated referral within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Coordinate care with Medical Treatment Facility staff, external health professionals, Veterans Affairs (VA) health care systems, and the Managed Care Support Contractor.
Educate staff, healthcare professionals, and beneficiaries on consult tracking procedures.
Maintain a suspense database to contact civilian healthcare professionals and obtain consult results.
Oversee the complete consult tracking process, ensuring timely execution and continuity of care for all TRICARE beneficiaries.
Provide accurate information on Medical Treatment Facility functions in response to beneficiary and staff questions.
Review referrals for quality, completeness, and accuracy to ensure specialty care requirements are ordered and authorized correctly.
Monitor and distribute daily incoming mail using knowledge of medical specialties and Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) departments to route diverse documents and clinical correspondence.
