This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Community Planning and Development. Washington D.C. is a potential duty location for this position; however, the Washington D.C. office is expected to relocate to Alexandria, Virginia. Selectees may be required to report initially to Washington, D.C and later report to Alexandria, Virginia.
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending modifications to workforce objectives and priorities.; AND -Conducting broad or specific studies, presenting findings and recommendations as written products and oral briefings.; AND -Participating in all administrative processes (such as supply, budget, procurement, personnel functions, and/or travel and space management). Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Performing a variety of administrative support functions (such as budget, supply, procurement, personnel functions, and/or travel and space management), as well as providing administrative, clerical, and technical support services.; AND - Conducting broad or specific studies and assessing results relevant to workforce goals and objectives.; AND - Making recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of program and work operations. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Research and or analyze problems, issues, or program requirements. Provide expert analysis and advice on complex program issues. Based on operations and changing program requirements, identifies relevant issues. Collects relevant information from many varied sources, some of which are difficult to access. Devises new analytical techniques to evaluate findings and makes authoritative recommendations. Independently, or as a member of a team, conducts broad or specific studies and assesses results relevant to workforce goals and objectives. Determines the degree of success in attaining those goals, identifies factors influencing accomplishments, and recommends actions accordingly. Actively participates in all phases of the assigned program's administrative processes (such as supply, budget, procurement, and personnel functions), performing a variety of administrative support functions for program and or Departmental leadership, as well as providing administrative, clerical and technical support services to facilitate the workflow of the organization.
