Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TEST & WORK CONTROL DIVISION, ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical engineering and administrative support to manage the planning, development, and certification of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical test programs of submarines or surface ships. You will be directly responsible and accountable for the proper direction and accomplishment of all strength and tightness and operational tests of ship systems and components.
You will ensure that all test requirements are effectively planned and integrated into the total shipyard productive effort to successfully achieve project objectives.
You will provide leadership necessary to successfully coordinate the entire Test program.
You will effectively and efficiently plan, monitor, manage and evaluate the Test Program.
You will monitor shipboard testing in progress and take action to assure that testing is conducted in accordance with approved technical and safety requirements.
You will ensure the timely development, review and issuance of prerequisite lists, test sequences and production test procedures to avoid work/test delays.
