Category Management. We drive the growth and success of categories at Target, one of the largest US retailers. We work with the Target merchants day in and day out to provide actionable insights on their business, from assortment, to on shelf merchandising, to what is happening in the marketplace. We distill large amounts of data, both quantitative and qualitative, in recommendations that Target can act on.

The work:
As a Sr. Category Manager, you will:
Help set and lead the strategic direction for a category at Target
Deliver merchandising and assortment planning recommendations
Research category and industry trends to provide findings on what is next within a category
Analyze and leverage multiple sources of complex data sets, to tell a story on growth opportunities for the category and demonstrate thought leadership
Develop and maintain routine reporting on category performance through Target and Market data and communicate actionable insights
Build Planograms using the Blue Yonder Space Planning software multiple times a year
Build and maintain strong relationships with Target team
Collaborate and share findings with the Category Management Team
Have a desire and availability to be a dependable go-to resource for team training and development
Have an understanding of team strengths, opportunities and existing data resources to most effectively balance workloads and create a connected team culture
Proactively create efficiencies, processes, and templates for the Category Management team by always looking for new ways to complete the role
Adaptable and willing to jump into help were necessary
Ambition to potentially manage other team members
Other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
