To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/15/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. The Program Support Assistant position is aligned under the Connected Care Service and supervised by the My HealtheVet Communication Coordinator. The incumbent serves as the Program Support Assistant to the My HealtheVet Communications Coordinator, assuming responsibility for major portions of the administrative activities of the My HealtheVet Department and Secure Messaging. The incumbent operates at a level of responsibility that requires independent actions within broad program directives and supervisory guidelines. These responsibilities involve effective interactions with staff and customers, obtaining and presenting data and information to accomplish requests by the My HealtheVet Communications Coordinator to perform the duties of the position. The scope and complexity of these duties require high level of personnel integrity and confidentiality. Duties include, but are not limited to: The incumbent provides general clerical as well as technical assistance to the MHV Coordinator by maintaining MHV Systems, Secure Messaging Program and electronic and/or virtual assistive equipment. Establishes, develops, and implements, at the direction or in conjunction with the MHV Coordinator, local MHV related goals, strategies to meet goals, identifies responsible parties, tracks progress, including monitoring goals/activity status and assists in the development of reports to the Medical Executive Committee. Project Management for Connected Care Assists in the management of multi-disciplinary teams comprised of professional, technical and support personnel to coordinate clinical and business functions for the MHV program. Collaborates with other service lines/programs to problem solve and develop action plans to improve service delivery. Assists in developing presentations and then deliver presentations to all levels of the VAMC/HCS, service organizations, and veterans, family members and caregivers. Assists the My HealtheVet Coordinator to lead the facility's efforts to integrate My HealtheVet and Secure Messaging among healthcare providers and patients. Assists in the development of multimedia campaign materials (e.g., printed articles, brochures, videos) to enlighten target population.
